About Us
We have played together off and on for over 20 years. We started as a wedding cover band playing all styles of music
After being apart for a few years, we found each other again and the new venture lead to playing different styles. From Cumbia and ranchera to a full rock n roll band. Paco, Noemi and Norberto found each other and started playing rock n roll with the great Brian Ward – we miss him dearly – and the eternally awesome Billie Holman.
Reserva Special playing las clasicas de rock
Noemi, Paco and Norberto started their own project and Special Reserve was born. The three started playing classic rock from the last four decades. After playing the local scene for a few months, friends encouraged them to play some Spanish rock for an event and thus Reserva Special was born. One private party led to another and the Spanish Rock evolved from private parties to big events. As the only band who played rock en español in Idaho, we treasured the sing alongs we got to live at those events. The request for more Spanish songs gave us the idea to ask our beloved Jazmin to join us in the band and luckily her husband, great percussionist, was not playing with anyone else. Now, as a five piece band, Special Reserve can play any songs that comes their way. They choose to still play the most recognized, la celula que explota, pachuco, even some panteon rococo. We do make a lot of noise for being only five friends on the stage.
